What the service involves
Protecting assets whose value is not only financial. The Bodyguard Group® team provides physical protection for works at auctions, exhibitions and galleries; discreet, secure transport in unmarked vehicles with a permanent link to our control room and GPS tracking; and protection for collections in private residences. Everything is done quietly: no uniforms, and none of the attention a valuable piece is better off without.
Who it is for
When you need it
Before and after an auction, when a work is lent to an exhibition, when moving pieces between residences or abroad, during valuation or restoration away from home, and whenever a collection has outgrown ordinary home security. The most common mistake is to think about protection only after the first unpleasant experience. The right time is before it.
How it works in practice
We begin with a risk assessment: what is being protected, where, from whom and when. Then comes the plan: the route and transport arrangements, securing the venue, and coordination with the auction house, curators or insurer. The work itself is quiet: a plain-clothes team, unmarked vehicles and constant contact with our operations centre, 24/7. On request, we add close protection for the owner and a technical sweep of the premises (TSCM).
Why Bodyguard Group®
Since 2009 we have protected clients for whom discretion matters as much as security: collectors, families and institutions. We bring physical protection, secure transport and technical measures together under one command, with a single point of contact and one consistent standard.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. We plan and escort shipments across Europe, from the route and vehicles to coordination with fine art shippers and the final handover. Everything is door to door, under the supervision of our operations centre.
Regularly. Our security plan respects the insurer’s conditions and the rules of the auction house or gallery, and we are happy to align it with them before the event.
Confidentiality is part of the contract and of our standard. The team works in plain clothes, and details of the work, the route and the client are known only to those who need to know.
