Modern security today does not only rely on the physical presence of a guard. Camera systems (CCTV) also play a key role, enabling continuous surveillance, rapid response to incidents and more efficient use of human resources. The combination of live security and intelligent video surveillance brings companies and private individuals a significantly higher level of protection - at a reasonable cost.
Why choose a combination of CCTV and live surveillance
A camera system alone can record an incident, but it does not always prevent it. On the other hand, a live guard can respond immediately, but his ability to cover a larger area is limited. The integration of both elements creates an intelligent protective ecosystem, where technology and people complement each other:
The camera system detects movement, unusual behavior or zone violations.
Security guards immediately receive a notification and can intervene - physically or through the dispatch center.
The camera footage also serves as evidence for the investigation or the insurance company.
Such connectivity ensures that no threat goes unnoticed – and the response is much faster than using a single method.
How to choose the right camera system
When choosing a CCTV system, it is important not to underestimate planning. Each object has its own specifics - one thing is designed to protect a company premises, another is designed to protect a family home. Here are the main factors that should be considered:
Image resolution and quality – higher resolution will allow you to identify people and license plates, but requires more storage space.
Camera placement – strategic location is important (entrances, parking lot, perimeter).
Night vision and weather resistance – especially for outdoor cameras.
Internet connection and remote access – the ability to view records online via mobile or dispatch center.
Integration with alarms and motion sensors – the system can respond automatically (e.g. by triggering a siren).
Legal aspects – CCTV operation must comply with GDPR, especially when capturing public spaces.
How much does CCTV and physical security integration cost?
The price varies depending on the scope of the project, number of cameras, technology used and type of surveillance. In general, you can expect:
Basic installation of a CCTV system: from 15,000–30,000 CZK for smaller properties.
Extended system with monitoring and access for the dispatch center: 40,000–80,000 CZK.
Integration with physical security or intervention unit: individual calculation according to the number of guarded zones and frequency of exits.
